Atlantic County, NJ Prosecutor’s Office ‘Dawn Patrol’ Strikes, Again
At first glance, when you hear the term Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office “Dawn Patrol” … you immediately think about an early morning raid and a law enforcement operation to bust the bad guys.
This isn’t that!
The Atlantic County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office and their many working partners have established a profound winning culture by helping some of the most needy in Atlantic City.
The latest example of their community service work has received no coverage until now. On Friday. October 14, 2022, The “Dawn Patrol” was out again at 6:00 a.m., serving the homeless, at risk population.
They went in three directions, covering the Boardwalk, under the piers and parts of Pacific Avenue.
The “Dawn Patrol” is a collaboration of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Atlantic City Police Department, Caesars Hotel & Casino Security Department, Jewish Family Services of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler and Hope One.
This joint task force for good all do so on a voluntary basis. They come out before dawn and distribute food, water, hand sanitizer and other essentials.
Just as importantly, they provide hope and they directly interact with the homeless and at risk population of Atlantic City.
They are making on-the-spot referrals and interventions, providing detoxification, rehabilitation, outpatient and case management services to those presently in a crisis state.
Atlantic County Prosecutor Will Reynolds has made this a priority and they have been doing this volunteer work on a regular basis.
It’s making a positive difference.
At the same time, the ACPO is performing at a high level with regards to their core law enforcement responsibilities.
