Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has decided to fill the post-Labor Day Weekend void in Atlantic City by holding a Celebrate America parade this Saturday evening on the Boardwalk.

According to a press release, the 90-minute parade will span a 1.4-mile route along the Boardwalk between Metropolitan and Arkansas Avenues. Spectators are encouraged to bring American flags, lawn chairs, and blankets to watch the family-friendly parade.

The parade will feature patriotic cold air parade balloons never before seen on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, along with other floats and participants stemming from eight different states. There will also be a moment of silence and remembrance for those impacted during 9/11.

Those who are looking to spot a celebrity will have the chance to see Philadelphia sports legends Larry Bowa, Bill Bergey and Dave Shultz. The Grand Marshal for the parade will be Miss America 1984 Suzette Charles. Additionally, Atlantic City's very own heroes and first responders will be participating in the parade, as well as numerous marching and string bands, military units, and more.

Starting at 5:00 Saturday evening, you can listen to live coverage of the Celebrate America parade on our sister station, WPG Talk Radio 95.5 FM and 1450 AM. If you'll be at the parade, download the WPG Talk Radio app and listen to their live coverage!
