HEROES AMONG US! Watch as Firefighters Pull People to Safety During Millville NJ Apartment Fire [VIDEO]
A Millville, NJ family, with next to no options for escape after a fire broke out in their apartment building, was saved by local firefighters. Watch newly-released video of the amazing rescue.
It was Monday just after midnight when the blaze broke out off North High Street, 6abc.com reports.
A family of four was seemingly trapped between a hallway full of smoke and windows on the building's third floor.
Millville Fire Chief Michael Lippincott told 6abc, "There was heavy fire. Smoke and heat in the hallway which was blocking access and egress from the apartment units."
Firefighters raised a ladder to pull the two adults and two small children to safety.
The family reportedly needed treatment for smoke inhalation, but are otherwise okay.
Thank goodness for first responders like firefighters Kevin Hall and Brian Lippincott, who aided in the rescue, for without them and their bravery, this story may have had a very different ending.
What lead to the fire remains an active investigation.
