Human Remains Found on Dog Beach Outside Ocean City

6ABC's Action News reports that the New Jersey State Police are investigating the finding of human remains on the dog beach at the base of the bridge leading into Ocean City.

According to the report, the remains were found by a passerby on Monday, September 9.

New Jersey State Police have confirmed to Action News that the remains are that of a human.

The dog beach, in between Longport and Ocean City, is a popular spot for dog owners to let their dogs run and swim in the bay.

An active investigation is underway, police said. No further details about the investigation have been revealed.
