YUM! We Uncovered New Jersey’s Favorite Christmas Dessert
The Very Best Christmas Desserts In America
Let's face it, it's almost impossible to avoid delicious food during the holidays. Christmas is one of the busiest "food" seasons of the year and of course, desserts are a huge part of the festive food season. Even Santa likes a good cookie or two during the holidays.

Coffeeness conducted a survey of folks from around the nation to see just what desserts are the favorites for Christmas. "To uncover the U.S. Christmas treat preferences, we conducted a comprehensive analysis using Google Trends data from the past month. By examining search interest for over 50 beloved holiday treats, we identified the dessert with the highest relative popularity in each state."
For New Jersey, our favorite Christmas dessert is the iconic pumpkin pie. Pumpkin is king in Jersey! It begins shortly after Labor Day and runs through Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Pumpkin spice and pumpkin pie are everywhere for three months, then after Christmas, it disappears til next year.
According to Coffeeness, "This dessert's popularity spans from the Pacific Northwest to New England, proving that the traditional pumpkin pie remains a Christmas classic that transcends regional boundaries. A versatile treat for all occasions, the pumpkin pie could be considered both autumnal and wintry."
Personally, I like pumpkin pie so I will agree with this survey and simply add that I like whipped cream on that and a nice cup of coffee. By the way, I have been known to break off some crust from time to time when passing by the dessert table, I am a "crust" lover lol do you steal pie crust? time to confess! lol
