The Ocean City Boardwalk went to the dogs this weekend during the fourth annual "Howl-O-Ween" Parade, hosted by the Humane Society of Ocean City.

Hundreds of dog lovers dressed themselves and their pooch in zany, fun Halloween costumes in the spirit of the season.

The Howl-O-Ween Parade has become the highlight of Ocean City's Dog Days Weekend, the only time of the year dogs are allowed on the Ocean City Boardwalk.

Philadelphia Eagles Favorite Led the Parade

Ocean City welcomed Vince Papale as the grand marshal of the Howl-O-Ween Parade.

Papale was a 30-year-old teacher, coach, and part-time bartender when he attended a public tryout for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1976.

Not only did he make the team, but he became a fan favorite and earned the team’s “Man of the Year” honors in 1978 for his gritty play on special teams. His story is the subject of the film “Invincible.”

Lite 96.9's Eddie Davis, whose dog Sheeba is an alumnus of the Humane Society of Ocean City, was on hand and throwing candy to parade spectators.

The one and only Phillie Phanatic was also on hand for this year's parade!
