2023 Made In America Music Festival in Philadelphia, PA Reportedly Cancelled
Hoping to catch the annual Made In America music festival in Philly next month? The concert's reportedly been cancelled. Here's why.
The festival, which takes place along the Ben Franklin Parkway near the Philadelphia Art Museum, was due to take place this year on September 2nd and 3rd. Unfortunately, it's not happening, FOX 29 reports.
Made In America was due to be headlined by SZA and Lizzo.
Support acts included Coi Leray, Metro Boomin', Lotto, and other notables from the world of R&B and hip hop.
But in a lengthy statement, organizers of the festival explained why they, begrudgingly decided to call the hold thing off.
It reads, in part, 'Due to severe circumstances out of production control, the 2023 Made In America festival will no longer be taking place.'
The statement offered fans a sliver of silver lining, saying, 'We look forward to returning to Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the great city of Philadelphia in 2024'.
If you bought tickets for the 2023 Made In America festival, you can receive a refund where they were purchased.
