Brave Child Escapes Kidnapper in Asbury Park, NJ
A brave 11-year-old that became the victim of a kidnapping in Asbury, New Jersey last week managed to escape her attacker.
The incident reportedly happened Tuesday, May 30th around 5:30 p.m., according to NJ.com.
Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office says the girl was walking on Ridge Avenue when 29-year-old Raquan M. Folk, of Asbury Park, lured her into his vehicle and drove away with her. His motive, according to police, was rape.
When Folk told the girl to take off her clothes, she asked to use the bathroom and he pulled into a gas station in Neptune Township. She got the attention of another driver passing by and got away from Folk. That quick thinking saved her from a potential sexual assault and maybe even her life.

On Monday, police announced that Folk had been apprehended. He was arrested and now faces kidnapping charges, as well as luring a child and endangering the welfare of a child via sexual conduct.
