The Stanley Cup is Returning to the Jersey Shore This July
While it's been 51 years since the Philadelphia Flyers won the Stanley Cup, May 27, 1975, to be exact, Lord Stanley has been in the area quite a few times and is making its return.
A History of Lord Stanley Visiting the Jersey Shore
Former Flyers Justin Williams, who won the Cup with the Los Angeles Kings, brought the Cup to Caesars in Atlantic City back in 2012 for his one day with the trophy. Another former Flyer, Dennis Seidenberg, brought it to Caesars after winning it with the Boston Bruins.
Those are two examples of the Cup making its way to the Jersey Shore.
When and Where to See the Cup in North Wildwood
Former Flyers Nicolas Deslauriers, who was recently part of the Carolina Hurricanes team that won the Stanley Cup, will bring the Stanley Cup to the Seaport Pier, 2201 Boardwalk in North Wildwood, on Friday, July 17.
Photo Opportunities & After Party Times
Fans are invited to take a picture with the Stanley Cup from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and stick around to keep the party going from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Deslauriers spent four seasons in Philadelphia, playing 195 games from 2022 until he was traded this season for a 2027 7th-round draft pick on March 6.
