Is The Atlantic City, NJ Mayor About To Win His Criminal Trial?
Did The Atlantic City, New Jersey Mayor (Marty Small) properly thread the needle before the 12 men and women who hold his career and freedom in their hands?
We’ll likely know the answer to this definitive question early this week in a Mays Landing criminal trial courtroom.
I Think He Pulled It Off
At least a hung jury!
Small showed just the right amount of tears at the beginning and end of his dramatic testimony before the jury.
Whether he is or he isn’t … Small behaved like an innocent man and his performance (if you want to call it that) was powerful.
But, Was It Persuasive?
That’s for the jury to decide.
Small Told Fox News Philadelphia
Upon exiting the courtroom, with his wife (this past Friday afternoon) … Small was approached by Fox News Philadelphia, who were rolling their television cameras.
Small has not commented to the media in almost two years.
Small broke his silence, telling Fox News that “I’ve been called a child abuser for two years.”
The Stakes
If Marty Small is convicted of any of the 4 criminal charges, he will lose his position as Mayor of Atlantic City and he will lose his freedom.
Obviously, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Small would also be barred from ever holding appointive or elective public office in New Jersey forever.
La’Quetta Small Trial Is Set
To begin on January 15, 2026.
It remains to be seen, however, should Marty Small obtain an acquittal, or, hung jury … La’Quetta Small may never face her criminal trial.
La’Quetta Small currently faces one criminal charge of 2nd Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
