Several roads, including the Connector Tunnel on the Atlantic City Expressway, will be closing this weekend for the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, on Saturday, athletes will take to the Atlantic City Boardwalk for 5k and 10k runs.

  • Bicycles are prohibited on the Boardwalk during this event between the hours of 8 AM to 1 PM Saturday

On Sunday, the half marathon and marathon will take place. Runners will be on Route 30, the Atlantic City-Brigantine Connector, and through parts of the Bungalow Park section of the city. Motorists should expect heavy delays.

  • AC-Brigantine Connector (the Atlantic City Expressway Tunnel) - closed from 7:00 to 10:00 AM
  • The employee access road to Borgata, entrances to Borgata, Harrah’s, and Golden Nugget - expect delays from 7 to 10:30 AM
  • Bacharach Blvd., New Hampshire Ave., Melrose Ave. - expect delays from 7:00 to 10:30 AM
  • Borgata Employee Parking and Delivery Entrance - closed from 7:00 to 10:00 AM

Ventnor - Margate - Longport impacts

  • Jerome Ave. from Ventnor Ave. to the Margate Bridge - expect delays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Atlantic Ave. from Washington Ave. in Ventnor to 11th Ave. in Longport - expect delays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Amherst Ave. from Monroe Ave. to Jerome Ave. - closed from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
