Atlantic City NJ Police: Man Selling Pot Arrested For Selling Pot

Authorities in Atlantic City say a man who was openly advertising marijuana sales from his vehicle was arrested for openly selling marijuana from his vehicle.

37-year-old Herbert Nelson of Brooklyn has been charged with,

Possession of marijuana over 6 ounces
Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute
Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park
Money laundering

Last Sunday evening, Ofc. John Bell was patrolling the area around Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall when he observed a vehicle blocking the crosswalk in the 100 block of South Mississippi Avenue.

Officer Bell observed the vehicle had insignia written on the exterior openly advertising the sale of marijuana and marijuana products. Contact was made with a male, Herbert Nelson, who claimed ownership of the vehicle. Officer Bell also received confirmation from Nelson that he was in fact selling marijuana from his vehicle.

Police say a search of the vehicle led to the recovery of approximately 3.7 pounds of marijuana and marijuana-related products in various forms.
