We can confirm that after much back and forth, there will be an Atlantic City Airshow in 2025.

Previously, The Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce attempted to bring back the Atlantic City Airshow in 2025, to no avail.

Enter Visit Atlantic City, under the leadership of Gary Musich.

Musich has led an effort to partner Visit Atlantic City and Herb Gillen Airshows … and, following a one year absence, the return of the popular Atlantic City Airshow will return on July 15 & 16, 2025.

It will be a roughly 2 1/2 hour, mostly civilian air show, with the practice day on Tuesday and the actual Visit Atlantic City Airshow will be on Wednesday.

We did a one-hour on-air interview with Musich back on March 5, 2025, whereby Musich discussed that he was working on returning the Atlantic City Airshow.

The economic spend and overall excitement and enthusiasm level that surrounds the Atlantic City Airshow is palpable and popular.

The summer, 2025 Atlantic City will be smaller in scope, yet, it will be impressive … however, it will not include a showstopper … there will be no Thunderbirds or Blue Angels in Atlantic City for the 2025 Airshow.

We caught-up with Musich last night, who told us:

  1. This is a partnership with Visit Atlantic City and The Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce to bring back an event that was great for Atlantic City.
  2. July 15th and 16th.
  3. It will be a smaller show, with the goal to build this back over the next few years to what the show was before.
  4. Herb Gillen Air Shows will be the producer of the Atlantic City Airshow.

"The airshow has always been an incredibly popular event in Atlantic City, and we are excited to be able to partner with Herb Gillen Airshows to bring back this experience for our locals and visitors alike," said Gary Musich, President and CEO of Visit Atlantic City.

"We are thrilled to share with Atlantic City the incredible jaw-dropping, heart-pounding excitement that only an air show can deliver," said Herb Gillen, president of Herb Gillen Airshows and producers of the event. "The Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival promises to be an entertainment spectacle that must be seen to be believed. From families to devout aviation enthusiasts, this show will have something for everyone, said Gillen.

We have received a statement from Michael Chait, President of The Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce:

A Statement from the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce

After two decades of developing the Atlantic City Airshow into a premier Jersey Shore event and regional economic driver, the Airshow will be under the new stewardship of Visit Atlantic City moving forward. This represents a new chapter and natural progression for our beloved Airshow. Visit Atlantic City's public funding structure, dedicated resources, and talented staff will allow the Airshow to reach new heights and explore exciting opportunities for evolution and expansion, said Chait.

Eric Scheffler, Executive Director of the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority confirmed at yesterday’s board meeting that a budget of $ 780,000 will be made available to fund the sumner, 2025 return of the Atlantic City Airshow.

Indoor concerts will also be taking place at Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall.

Developing.
