Pedestrian Killed Crossing Busy Roadway in Galloway Twp., NJ
A Galloway Township resident died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night.
Authorities say the accident happened just after 6:30 in the area of West Moss Mill Road and Bremen Avenue.
An investigation by the Galloway Township Police Department revealed that 18-year-old Michael Stewart of Hamilton Township was driving a 2004 Toyota Tundra westbound on West Moss Mill Road when he struck Myoung-Chun Jang of Galloway Township as he was crossing the road.
As a result of the collision, Myoung-Chun sustained fatal injuries. He was taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center-Mainland Division where he was pronounced dead.
That section of roadway was closed for about two hours as police investigated and cleared the scene.
