South Jersey Man Dies While Bear Hunting in Maine
A hunter from South Jersey passed away while hunting in central Somerset County, Maine, on Tuesday morning.
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife says 69-year-old David Ridgway of Bridgeton was walking in the woods hunting bear in Pierce Pond Township, about 100 miles north of Portland, at about 8 AM when he collapsed.

Efforts to Save Him
Members of his hunting group performed CPR, but he passed away at the scene, according to emergency medical personnel who were called to the incident.
Ridgway was carried out of the woods and then transported to Wiles Funeral Home in Farmington, ME.
Officials say the incident remains under investigation.
