These are Real Atlantic City Development Projects: Not ‘Pipe Dreams’
We thought that since “Pipe Dream” projects that typically never materialize often get so much publicity … why not spend some quality time on projects in Atlantic City, New Jersey that are actually happening.
Tennessee Avenue and what is known as “The Orange Loop,” under developer Mark Callazzo is delivering both impressive and measurable results.
Callazzo did a wide-ranging update yesterday on his Facebook page as follows:
I wanted to put together a list of all of the projects that are happening now or set to start this year in The Orange Loop. This time next year it will be unrecognizable, wrote Callazzo.
Here is Callazzo’s list as follows:
- 1 South New York - Mixed use development
- Morris Guard Armory - Mixed use development
- Townhomes
- Townhomes
- Townhomes
- Renaissance apartments
- YMCA - Mixed use development
- The Endicott- Mixed use
- The Top Hat - Boutique Hotel with retail.
Here is a map, generated by Callazzo that provides the locations of various development projects:
Callazzo and Sal Spena are also bringing two new and welcome (seafood Italian and pizza) restaurants to Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Mark Callazzo is an example of what is actually possible (Tennessee Avenue and “The Orange Loop” in Atlantic City, New Jersey) … when a developer comes along who actually does what he says he’s going to do.
Callazzo is bringing a winning formula to Atlantic City. It needs to be replicated.
They need to break Atlantic City into manageable neighborhoods. Embark upon cleaning-up and developing the various neighborhoods and all of Atlantic City’s problems can and will be solved.
New Jersey Senator Vince Polistina is committed and focused upon fixing Atlantic City. It’s definitely fixable with the proper leadership and support.
Pursue responsible and realistic development, coupled with delivering clean and safe streets and Atlantic City wins.
Bon appétit.
