Wanted to ‘Play Hooky’ Today with Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts and The Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LIV last night.

You know the decades old question … “Jalen Hurts and The Philadelphia Eagles; You just won The Super Bowl … What are you going to do next?”

Jalen Hurts’ obligatory answer has to be … “I’m going to Disney World!”

It’s a magical response that I never grow tired of hearing.

We were in The Magic Kingdom yesterday.

Now, we are at Orlando International Airport and I have never wanted to “Play Hooky” from work more than right now.

2:30 p.m. today, Super Bowl LIV Jalen Hurts will be on Main Street USA, at The Happiest Place on Earth … Walt Disney World’s The Magic Kingdom.

I confidently predicted on-air more than 2 weeks ago that The Eagles would win the Super Bowl and that the score would not be close.

The Eagles won Super Bowl LIV over The Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 40-22.

I have known for many decades that The Super Bowl MVP is in a parade on Main Street USA on the day after The Super Bowl.

I pride myself on being a good “planner.” I blew it this time.

We easily could have and should have planned to take work off tomorrow … and, we could have seen Jalen Hurts up close, today.

Hurts becomes the second Eagles player in history to lead the Disney Parade.

I hope and pray to get just one more chance in the not too distant future to fix the mistake that I made today.

I’m on our plane now … about to take off in the next few minutes for Atlantic City, New Jersey.

This one Hurts … pun intended.

Right before takeoff, our Spirit Air plane just did an

E-A-G-L-E-S chant.
