As we get closer to Valentine's Day, I start reflecting on how hard it is for those who have not found their partner.  We hear horror stories about dating apps and experts agree that it is still better to get out and meet people in person if you are trying to create a real and long-lasting relationship.

Is New Jersey an easy place to meet people?  I was curious about how we ranked as a state for finding a significant other and keeping them.  It’s tough out there, but some states are harder than others in the romance department. Let's see if singles should be packing their bags to get out or if cupid has a Jersey accent.

Here is the breakdown for New Jersey dating and data behind it all:

Dating in New Jersey (1=Best; 25=Avg.):

  • 9th – Online-Dating Opportunities

  • 5th – Mobile-Dating Opportunities

  • 4th – Median Annual Household Income (Adjusted for Cost of Living)

  • 7th – Restaurants per Capita

  • 29th – Movie Theaters per Capita

  • 4th – Crime Rate

  • 9th – Percentage of Residents 12+ Who Are Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19

For all my single ladies I'm feelin' really good about Jersey.  Dating here is better than in most states.  Also, I feel like we are so populated here that you can't help but bump into someone cute eventually.  We have to take time to chill and smell the roses a bit because when you look up is when you actually see the world (or the hottie in the grocery store) instead of just racing through it.
