A fatal accident this week on Route 295 in Salem County left a man from Pine Hill dead.

The crash reportedly took place in the southbound lanes of I-295 Sunday morning, March 20th around 8 a.m., Courier Post reports.

The victim was driver 58-year-old Anthony Joy, Jr., of Pine Hill, Camden County, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the car with Joy sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Joy's Nissan Sentra was reportedly the only vehicle involved in the accident.

NJ State Police conveyed to Courier Post that Joy's sedan collided with a concrete barrier near mile marker 1.3 on 295-S, near the Pennsville exit. The cause of the accident was not immediately available.

Services for Anthony Joy, Jr. will be held at Ora L. Wooster Funeral Home in Clementon, NJ on Saturday, April 2nd beginning at 2 p.m.
