Douglass Memorial School and Lower Township Municipal Hall in Villas were put on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a report of a man, possibly armed with a shotgun, nearby.

Thankfully, all ended well, as the " person alleged to be in possession of a shotgun" turned out to be nothing more than a man doing home repair on his own property with a nail gun in hand.

Lower Township Police say that when they received the original call, "Both the school and township hall were locked down while the police conducted an extensive search of the area, including numerous contacts with people and neighbors in the area."

It was soon confirmed that the man in question was a person working in his own yard.
