Somers Point Restaurant Closes After Covid Exposure
Another South Jersey restaurant, another Covid case. Fitzpatrick's Deli & Steakhouse on New Road in Somers Point was closed Monday due to an exposure with Covid-19, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
We are taking this time to thoroughly deep clean and sanitize our property as per CDC guidelines as well as having all exposed staff fully tested to ensure the health and safety of our community and our families.
We are grateful for your ongoing support and understanding during these unprecedented times and cannot wait to welcome you back when we feel it is safe to do so. We will keep you posted.

Fitzpatrick's is the second Somers Point restaurant in two weeks to close after a covid exposure. Josie Kelly's Public House on Shore Road closed temporarily last week after a guest at a private party tested positive for COVID-19. They have since reopened.
Fitzpatrick's is a long-time Somers Point staple. A family owned and operated eatery that started as a small local deli lunch in 1989, then expanded with breakfast, before becoming to a deli & steakhouse at night with on-premise catering.
The restaurant moved to three different locations on Route 9 over the years, all within 2 miles of each other, as their business expanded.
The Governor's expanded restrictions on New Jersey's restaurants, bars and casinos go into effect on Thursday prohibiting indoor eating or drinking between 10pm and 5am, after an increase in the number of positive Covid cases in the state and across the country.
