Townsends Inlet Bridge Is Now Open and Toll Free Through Monday

The Townsends Inlet Bridge which connects Sea Isle City and Avalon in Cape May County has finally reopened.

The bridge has been closed since September 2018. The bridge was originally scheduled to open by Memorial Day weekend but was delayed due to construction problems and repairs.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, the bridge will be toll free through 6 AM this coming Monday, July 27th. Work crews will still need to do cleanup work and traffic striping.

Motorists, bicyclists, runners, emergency crews and pedestrians will now be able to use this busy Cape May County bridge!
