Two Killed in Accident on the Delaware Memorial Bridge
Two people were killed and one person was injured in a crash between a disabled vehicle and a tractor trailer on the Delaware Memorial Bridge Tuesday afternoon.
WPVI-TV reports a disabled vehicle was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer on the Delaware-bound span close to the state line at around 3PM Tuesday. The condition of the injured person was not immediately available.
Traffic on Route 40, Interstate 295, and the New Jersey Turnpike, which all join just before the bridge, was at a near stand-still. WDEL reports one lane out of four is open as the evening rush hour reaches its peak.
