Wawa Honoring Service Men and Women with Free Coffee on Veterans Day
Wawa is celebrating Veterans Day and honoring our nation's service men and women, past and present, by offering free coffee.
Woohoo, free coffee! A little gesture of 'thanks' that goes a long way. Today, November 11, veterans, active military members and their families, can grab a complimentary cup of coffee of any size all day, with no military ID required!
Veterans Day is no exception. Wawa supports veterans all year long, shipping 5,000 care packages to military service members abroad. Wawa also The Wawa Foundation Customer Donation Summer Campaign to the USO.
In a statement, Wawa President and CEO Chris Gheysens said, “At Wawa supporting our military is part of our DNA and each year, Veterans Day gives us a chance to thank our troops, and, in our own small way, give something back to these brave and dedicated men and women. Once again, we plan to honor our military and their families with free coffee on Veterans Day, and also through a socially-distanced care package assembly at our Wawa headquarters the Tuesday before Veterans Day. In its 10th year, we’ve been providing troops abroad with a taste of home through our coffee care packages, and we are passionate about continuing this tradition for years to come.”
Earlier this week, Wawa associates and members of the USO, Air National
Guard and Army National Guard put together more than 5,000 care packages that will be sent to military service men and women serving oversees as part of its Operation Taste of Home, an annual tradition.
The troops abroad must LOVE getting those care packages. Wawa IS home.
We commend Wawa for giving back to our nation's heroes. Enjoy your free coffee today, and thank you for your service to our country!
