Why Don’t We Have These Restaurant Chains in New Jersey?
Nation's Restaurant News (nrm.com) recently published a list of the 200 largest restaurant chains in America and as I scrolled through the list, it got me wondering, "Why don't we have some of these in New Jersey?"
Before we get to that, I'll first tell you that according to nrm.com, the 5 largest restaurant chains in America are McDonald's, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, and Burger King.
Jack in the Box is a fast-food restaurant with a majority of locations on the west half of the U.S. The closest location appears to be about 9 hours away n West Chester, Ohio. (9 hours is a long drive, but it may be worth it to try Jack's Tiny Tacos).
The next largest restaurant chain on nrm.com's list that doesn't have a location in NJ is Whataburgerlocations
With "burger" as part of its name, you'd think I'd have to try one if I ever get to visit a Whataburger, but I've got to say, this Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit looks pretty amazing.
Here are a few more of the largest restaurant chains in America, according to nrm.com, that we don't have in New Jersey:
- Hardee's (It wasn't too long ago that there was a Hardee's on Route 130 in Willingboro, but now, the closet location is in Delaware).
- Zaxby's (This is a fast-food chicken restaurant located mainly in the south. I've been to it at least once, but don't really remember much about it, but I do know a few people who tell me they love it).
- Culver's (I've been to a Culver's once and I'd love to go back. In addition to traditional burgers and fries, they have an amazing list of concrete mixers, which are similar to Blizzards at DQ.)
I've only made it to #39 on nrm.com's list the 200 largest restaurant chains in America, which means there are many more that we're missing in the Garden State, so this is "To Be Continued."
