You Can Now Order Stamps or Mail Packages From Your Home
Everything has turned virtual these days.
The U.S. Postal Service is also making sure that everyone has all of the resources they need to utilize an old-school option: snail mail!
Before you roll your eyes (yes Millennials, I'm talking to you), just remember that we have no idea when or how this pandemic will end and you never know when you will need to rely on our old school ways of doing things.
So the U.S. Postal Service has arranged it where residents can order stamps online at USPS.com and have them delivered to your mailbox.
If you do not have a computer, you can call your local post office or you can also ask your mail carrier who will bring you a Stamps By Mail order form. You fill out the form and leave it on your porch with a check to cover the cost and wa la, stamps are delivered right to your door.
You can also mail a package right from the comfort of your home! They are also no longer requiring a signature when packages are delivered.
According to APP.com, here are some other services that are being offered by New Jersey post offices:
- Order free flat-rate boxes or other package materials on usps.com and the materials will be delivered to your home.
- Print a mailing label with the appropriate postage on your computer using Click-N-Ship at usps.com.
- Schedule a free carrier pickup and let the local post office know where they can find the package. The carrier will pick it up when the mail is delivered.
FYI: If you do need to physically go to the Post Office, buildings are marking the floors with tape so customers know where to stand to practice social distancing. Hand sanitizer, gloves and masks have also been available to all employees.
"For increased safety, employees will politely ask the customer to step back a safe distance or close the screen door/door so that they may leave the item in the mail receptacle or appropriate location by the customer door," the postal service said.
Hopefully this solves all your mailing problems and you now have access to all the mailing resources you need!
