As of Wednesday morning, 17 more Atlantic County residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

With those new cases, the total for the county stands at 173, according to a press release.

No additional deaths were reported today.

Today’s confirmations include seven men, ages 31-86, and ten women, ages 29-82.

Seven additional people are now cleared as recovered for a total of 26 county residents to date.

Wednesday's news comes one day before a testing center is set to open at Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing. The county will perform its first testing on Thursday for symptomatic healthcare workers and first responders by appointment through the Office of Emergency Preparedness. Public testing for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s script will begin the week of April 13th and instructions for making appointments will be forthcoming.
