Many different outlets predict what the weather will be each season like they are fortune tellers. People swear by things like the Farmers' Almanac to see what the weather is going to be like a few months or a year out.

Do I have all of the answers when it comes to how harsh this winter will be? I'll let you be the judge.

    Crickets had a higher pitched chirping sound.

    Did you notice how the crickets this year sounded a bit different? Well, a little unknown fun fact for you, crickets chirping pitch is a tell-tale sign of what the weather will be the following season. Bam! Knowledge is being dropped right now. This year, crickets were chirping at a slightly high pitch than normal which means there is a good chance we will have a harsh winter.

    The joints in my right pinky toe have been aching.

    Before school one morning when I was in 4th grade, I broke my right pinky toe. I was mad at my brother and kicked the corner between my bedroom door and his. Ever since that fateful day, it aches every fall just before a harsh winter.

    Fall leaves have been a bit duller this fall.

    Fall leaves haven't been as vibrant as they have been in the past. It not only affects Instagram pictures, but it also means we could be in for a terrible winter.

    A basic girl saw the shadow of her UGGs.

    Did you think that only a groundhog could predict the weather by seeing their shadow? You would be dead wrong my friend. If a basic Instagram model wannabe sees the shadow of her UGGs on October 21st, it is going to be the worst winter ever. Unfortunately, she did.
