The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says a 60-year-old woman crossing the White Horse Pike was killed Saturday night when she was struck by a vehicle.

Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill says Hammonton Police responded to the scene, just west of Central Avenue. "A Black Ram truck, operated by Jeffrey Dooner, 55, of Margate, was traveling west on the White Horse Pike and was crossing the intersection at Central Avenue. A pedestrian, Nancy Martinez, 60, of Jersey City, was walking north across the White Horse Pike when she was struck as she entered into the path of the Ram vehicle."

Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation continues.
