A 68-year-old woman from Williamstown was struck and killed on the White Horse Pike in Galloway Saturday night just days after a Camden County man was killed on the White Horse Pike in Absecon.

Galloway Township Police say the accident happened around 8:30 Saturday night when Mariya Grechko was attempting to across the White Horse Pike at South Sixth Avenue was she fatally struck by a westbound vehicle being driven by 50-year-old Robert Grover of Galloway while she was in the intersection.

Grechko was pronounced dead at the scene and the White Horse Pike was closed for two hours while police investigated the accident.

This is the second accident in three days where a pedestrian was killed on Route 30. On Thursday, Absecon Police say 42-year-old Emilio Portillo-Sanchez of Lindenwold was struck and killed by a minivan.
