Looks like a major renovation plan to the tune of two million dollars is coming to the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal according to officials from the Delaware River and Bay Authority.

The Press of Atlantic City reports the makeover to the terminal will include a new coffee shop, a grab-and-go area, a new space dedicated for art exhibits, and renovations to the restaurant including a circular bar and expanding the patio area which will now be called Ferry Park.

Makeover plans are also in the works for Sunset Lounge which will now spotlight local seafood. Exit Zero Hospitality will handle all the renovations which are planned for the offseasons.

Besides spending the day at the Cape May Zoo, taking a ride on the Cape May Lewes Ferry was the highlight of the summer for my boys when they were young. They couldn't wait to get on the ferry and cruise the Delaware Bay!

The Cape May Lewes Ferry is also hosting a Job Fair at the Cape May Terminal on Saturday, June 5th from 10 AM to 1 PM. Positions include help with the operation and upkeep of the vessels, cooks, servers, bartenders, cashiers, and supervisors for their Food and Retail team. Flexible schedules in a fun environment at the Cape May Lewes Ferry.
