A sad story looking for a hopeful end. 7-year-old Autumn is a rottweiler that is looking for a forever home to spend her last weeks peaceful and loved. Autumn was diagnosed with bone cancer in her knee, which has now spread to her chest. The shelter where Autumn lives gives the poor pup just weeks to live.

According to Fox 29, Autumn spent most of her life outside and then ended up in a crowded shelter. The rottweiler was given up because the family, "had no time for her." The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge is now desperate to find the dog a forever home so that she feels loved and safe.

Autumn is on pain medication and lives at the refuge. The shelter has taken to social media to give the rottweiler a happy home.

In the Facebook post, the refuge says, "Autumn likely only has weeks to enjoy her happy ending, but we at RBARI see it as a happy ending nonetheless."

RBARI is looking for a hospice home to care for Autumn during her final weeks.
