Is a Popular Coffee Chain Opening a New Store in Barnegat Township, NJ?

Rumors are a-swirling!

Over the past couple of years, there's been a lot of construction happening in Barnegat Township- like Barnegat 67, and the small shopping center down the road.  This morning, I heard chatter about a new addition coming to town.

An interesting post in the Barnegat Township Chatter Facebook Group said that a Starbucks is coming to Barnegat in the shopping center with AutoZone, Dollar General, and AT&T on W Bay Avenue.  There's no official signage or confirmation as of yet.

How are the people of Ocean County reacting to the news?  It's interesting - a lot of people are excited about the possibility of the popular coffee shop opening another location.  But it was also met with some confusion.

A lot of people brought up that there's already a Starbucks in Acme.  Some people lamented that they don't need another coffee store.

Will there be a drive-thru?

Group members were also wondering whether or not this potential Starbucks could have a drive-thru.  A lot were excited about the possibility!  Some were doubtful because the end stores are taken.  Others were concerned about the traffic it could add to the area.

Are you excited about the possibility of a drive-thru Starbucks opening in Barnegat?  I'm not going to lie, I love the idea.  I know coffee addicts like me welcome any new store that will allow us to get our caffeine fix (I'll take a grande peppermint iced coffee with soy milk, please!)
