Millville high school alum and Jacksonville Jaguars running back Ryquell Armstead was placed on the COVID-19 list back on Aug 2 and has yet to return to the field.

Today it was reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, that Armstead will miss the rest of the season with COVID-19 complications. The former Thunderbolt has been in the hospital twice already, and missed 18 days during his first COVID-19 stint before the season started back in Sept.

As a rookie in 16 games, Armstead ran for 108 yards and had 14 catches for 144 yards and scored two total touchdowns in 2019.

Armstead, who played his college ball at Temple, rushed for over 2,500 yards in his career including 1,488 yards and 18 TDs as a senior at Millville.  He once ran for what was a single-game record 337 yards in a game.
