Only a Small Percentage of New Jerseyans Comfortable with Crowds

Quinnipiac University asked New Jerseyans a series of questions about living life in the Garden State once COVID-19 social distancing restrictions are fully lifted.

What the polls found is really interesting.

“A large, large amount of people of New Jersey are willing to wait it out for a couple of months before letting their guard down,” a Quinnipiac poll analyst tells NJ.com.

On going out to eat: 70% would feel uncomfortable.
On using NJ Transit: 78% would feel uncomfortable.
On flying: 78% would feel uncomfortable.
On attending concerts and sporting events: 83% would feel uncomfortable.

On 'visiting friends' and 'going to work' the outlook is slightly more optimistic, with poll takers feeling more than 50% comfortable about doing so in both situations.

The takeaway? “A large, large amount of people of New Jersey are willing to wait it out for a couple of months before letting their guard down,” a Quinnipiac poll analyst tells NJ.com.
