Three Elderly Atlantic County Residents Die from COVID-19, 52 New Positives
Three women from Hammonton, ages 87, 90, and 92, all with pre-existing medical conditions have become the latest fatalities related to COVID-19 in Atlantic County.
Officials made the announcement on Tuesday, bringing the number of people who have died from the virus to 22. 52 new positive cases were also reported, bringing the countywide total to 499, and 10 more people have been cleared as recovered, bringing that total to 81.
Today's positive cases per town/township:
Hammonton - 11
Egg Harbor Township - 8
Galloway Township - 6
Atlantic City, Hamilton Township, Pleasantville - 5 each
Linwood - 3
Brigantine, Buena, Estell Manor, Folsom, Northfield, Port Republic - 1 each
County health officials attributed the increase in positive cases to an increase in testing, which began earlier this month.
